Hi There,
I just recently had the oppritunity to work with YouTube star, Steve Berke, on a parody video said to be released in early September. I had such an awesome time and the cast and crew was a blast to work with!

We filmed in Decatur, Texas for two days at the county's fair grounds in the original funhouse from the movie Grease. The hair and makeup on this project was a lot of fun, I really enjoy doing re-creation and adding my own spin.
My 'Sandy/Mary Jane' was Elite Model, Briley Hale. The hair and makeup here was pretty simple stuff, subtle cat-eye makeup with a red lip. The most important part of getting Briley ready was making sure her features really popped on camera. We shot for two, 8 hour days in the Texas 3-digit heat so I needed makeup that would stay. I used a combination of products so below is the breakdown of what I used for Briley's makeup:
SKIN
Primer: Moisturizer (provided by model)Concealer & Highlighter: Ben Nye in Porcelain
Foundation: E.L.F in Porcelain
Contour: E.L.F Contouring Powder & Bobby Brown Bronzer
Blush: E.L.F 'Pink'
Finish: Ben Nye Transluscent Finishing Powder
EYES
Shadows: Various Ben Nye & M.A.C ShadowsLiner: Urban Decay 'Oil Slick' smudged
Brows: M.A.C 'Espresso' Pencil
Lashes: Provided By Model
LIPS
Lipstick: NYX 'Deep Red Matte'
Briley's hair was a relatively simple ponytail. She has a TON of gorgeous hair! Once her hair was curled, the process was simple. We teased heavily at the root of her entire head and sprayed it with working, brushable hairspray. Then while conserving the "bump" at her crown, we pulled her hair into a simple ponytail. I then used a boar bristle brush to brush out her curls to get a soft, "pin up" effect. I used a pomade to tame the fly-aways and sprayed for the finish.
After Briley's hair and makeup, I then moved to Steve--his process was a little more complex. Obviously, in Grease fashion, we were trying to acheive the greaser, ducktail hairstyle. To start, I put a quarter sized amount of pomade and worked it through my hands and into the hair. After this pomade was evenly distributed throughout his hair, I began to shape. When the hair all seemed to be going in the same direction, up and back, I sprayed my comb with a light, working hair spray and began refining the sides of the style. After getting the hair set in place and the fly-aways tame, I sprayed him with a strong, holding spray. We used a root hiding spray to give a more full, thick look to the hair and then we began shooting.
While on set, we had a writer from the Wise County Messenger do a story on the project. Click here to view the entire story.
The video has about a month until its release and I can't wait to see what it looks like in it's
entireity! The release is set to hit Steve's YouTube Channel here, along with his other popular parody videos. His most recent video 'Potshop' ft. Macklemore has over 13,000,000 hits on YouTube. You can find more information about his cause on 4TT's Facebook page.
