Tooth Sensitivity Keeping You From A Whiter Smile?

So, fun fact about me, I could write the book on dental trauma. Seriously. I've always had sensitive teeth but I had one bad experience at the dentist when I was a kid that changed everything for me. You know how it goes, I told him I wasn't numb and he started drilling anyway and now I hate the dentist. That experience bothered me so much that each and every time I have anything done to my teeth, even cleanings, I have this crippling anxiety that has me in tears before the appointment even begins. Honestly, it's pathetic. The fear of that sensitivity and pain has kept me from having the smile that I've always wanted, until now.
When I was asked to try 'Smile Brilliant' I'll admit I was skeptical at first. One, because of the added sensitivity I've heard comes with teeth whitening and two, I had seen everyone and their mom all over social media promoting different whitening systems and it seemed so fake and contrived. After reading up on 'Smile Brilliant' and chatting with my awesome rep, Abby, I decided to give it a try and the results were nothing short of incredible!
Getting started was super simple. 'Smile Brilliant' sends you a kit in the mail with specific step-by-step instructions for creating the molds for your whitening trays:
The box comes with all the instructions and ingredients to mix together for your molding material. I've read reviews of other brands and the mold process can be a little messy and tedious, but not this one. The process was quick and mess-free. I screwed up one mold, of course, but it wasn't a problem because they provide extra ingredients in case any mess-ups happen. Once the molds are dry, you place them in the mailing envelope they provide you and send them back to their lab where they create your custom trays.
As far as shipping goes, my mail people can be the absolute worst and I never saw my first set of trays but when I reached out to Abby and told her what happened, she had my trays re-made and sent out again--I got them in less than a week! Great customer service is my favorite!
I followed the instructions carefully for my first time whitening and everything went perfectly! You use the dispensing serenge of whitening gel to place a thin line to the front portion of the inside of your trays. Once that was done I just put them on my teeth and set my timer for 30 minutes. I finished putting on the rest of my makeup and then removed the trays when I was done (yay multitasking). I was so shocked at how much my teeth had whitened in such a short amount of time! I have used whitening strips before for a full hour and never saw a difference but this gel provided at least two shades of lift in just 30 minutes of use. After you rinse your trays, you dispense the sensitivity gel the same way you did the whitening gel and put the trays back on for another 15 minutes. Once this is finished you rinse with water and you're done!
After my first few times whitening with zero added sensitivity, I got the courage to use them for longer and the results were even better! I wish I had taken a before photo, but honestly I was embarrassed to show the color of my teeth before.
To say I've been pleased with this product is a huge understatement. Having whiter teeth has done awesome things for my smile, my self esteem and my work. I get so many compliments about my makeup and questions about my lipstick shades with my whiter smile. These trays give me the freedom to multitask and get other things done while I'm whitening too. I no longer have to bother with whitening strips slipping off or watch the clock and worrying about leaving them on too long or making my teeth hurt. I've used these trays for 4 weeks straight now with zero sensitivity and the results have been phenomenal! 'Smile Brilliant' is the way to go.
